Our Charges

Our pricing structure and charges

 Simple

 Transparent

 Reasonable

 Honest

 Negotiable

We operate a simple and transparent pricing structure, which is also negotiable for longer term commitment or larger scale contracts and projects, and is subject to our Terms and Conditions of Business.

Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 17:30 and additional charges may apply outside of these hours.

Ad-hoc hourly support charges

For ad-hoc support during nomal business hours we charge between £50 and £75 per hour depending upon the nature of the support, with the higher rate applying to support on servers and corporate network infrastructure.

We generally do not charge for the odd query, or advice, that can be dealt with by telephone or email in a matter of minutes, though we operate a fair usage policy to minimise excessive use.

Ad-hoc remote support is carried out by telephone, email, video call or a direct remote connection as appropriate, with onsite support being provided where the issue can't be resolved remotely or for hardware breakfix problems.

Our time is recorded in increments of 15 minutes, or part thereof, so, if support does not fall into the above quick query/advice bracket, our minimum chargeable time for ad-hoc support is 15 minutes.

For onsite support we generally do not charge any callout fee or for the first 15 miles of travelling, though where the time onsite is expected to be minimal, or travel time excessive, we may charge a proportion of our travelling time which we will advise of at the outset.

For travelling beyond 15 miles we charge £0.45 per mile, but only in one direction, and may also apply the expected time onsite and excessive travelling time as above.

Daily and longer term support charges

Our daily charge rates range from £320 to £480, with the higher rate applying to server and corporate infrastructure tasks, and some forms of consultancy and project work.

Days must be arranged and agreed in advance and a day is defined as up to 8 hours onsite and with the rate being inclusive of all travelling time to site and back.

Half days of up to 4 hours onsite can be provided at 50% of the full daily rate, though travel charges may apply depending on the distance and travel time to site and back.

Where we undertake remote work on a daily basis our rates are reduced to between £280 and £420 respectively, though as above must be arranged and agreed in advance.

For longer term commitment, for example, providing holiday or sickness cover, or for regular periodic onsite attendance or longer term support carried out either onsite or remotely, we are more than happy to enter into a contractual agreement and to negotiate an appropriate daily rate commensurate with the work to be undertaken.

For specific projects, or tasks that have a clear and identifiable scope, we can work with you to ascertain the amount of work involved and provide you with a fixed price quotation to deliver the required result within an agreed timescale.

Portable Appliance Testing charges

We do not charge for travelling, but we have a minimum charge of £45 which includes the inspection and testing of up to 15 items. This is ideal for landlords who may be providing a few whitegoods for tenants, and for apartment or caravan holiday lets.

As a rule of thumb, after the initial 15 appliances we charge £1.00 per appliance that is inspected and tested, though depending on the environment and volume this may reduce slightly, and it may increase for out of hours or weekend testing.

Our charge includes a full appliance register, showing the description and location of every item that was inspected and tested, and the result of the inspection and test.

If required, and at no additional cost, we can provide a detailed report showing the test readings of every item, or just failed items, or even just for appliances in specific locations.

A testing completion certificate is also provided to show the date of the testing and the name of the engineer carrying out the testing.

All reports are provided in electronic format on receipt of full payment for the testing.
